*Urgent Help Needed — Fighting for My Life and My Daughter. Battling Stage 2 Aggressive Throat Cancer*
Hi, my name is Everton Burton, and I’m in the fight of my life — and I need your help.
It’s been almost a month since doctors confirmed I have stage 2, aggressive throat cancer. Before this diagnosis was confirmed, doctors were unsure what was causing my symptoms and imaging findings. At one point, they were considering lymphoma or metastatic disease due to the extent of what they were seeing. After further evaluation, the diagnosis of aggressive stage 2 throat cancer was confirmed.
In addition, they found a mass at the head of my pancreas, which is causing a blockage in my liver and severe jaundice. They also found masses on both of my kidneys. Right now, doctors are focused on comfort measures, including placing a drain to relieve the bile blockage, because I cannot afford further testing or biopsies to fully evaluate the other masses.
I’m not just fighting for myself — I’m fighting for my 9-year-old daughter, who is my entire world. Every decision I make, every ounce of strength I have left, is driven by the hope of being here longer for her.
The Financial Burden Is Overwhelming
The medical bills are piling up fast, and I need help covering:
Diagnostic tests and imaging
Cancer treatment and medications
Procedures to manage complications like jaundice
Follow-up care and recovery
Basic living expenses since I’m unable to work
No one should have to choose between life-saving care and keeping a roof over their family’s head — but that’s where I am right now.
How You Can Help
This GoFundMe is my lifeline. Every donation — no matter how small — helps me get the care I need and gives me a chance to spend more time with my daughter.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this story with your friends, family, and community is just as powerful and prayers.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support during the hardest fight of my life.
