Urgent Support Needed for Steven Cox’s Fight Against Leukemia
Hello everyone,
I’m Jill Martin, and I'm creating this GoFundMe for my dear brother, Steven Cox, who was recently diagnosed with a rare acute leukemia. This life-changing news has come at a challenging time as he started a different job and isn’t covered by short-term disability yet. He’s now facing an overwhelming medical diagnosis and medical expenses.
Steven was admitted to Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN on August 20, 2025, and diagnosed with APL (Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia), which is an acute aggressive type of leukemia. He will remain at Vanderbilt to continue initial treatments. Once released to outpatient, Steven will have seven months of outpatient treatment at Vanderbilt with treatments being five days a week for some of the weeks. Due to his health and treatment schedule, Steven will be unable to work for the next seven to eight months, and bills, living expenses, and medical bills continue to add up.
How Your Support Helps
Your donations will go directly toward:
• Immediate medical expenses (hospital stays, chemotherapy, treatments, blood transfusions, labs, etc.)
• Medications and prescriptions
• Living expenses while Steven is unable to work
We are doing everything we can, but we really need all the help we can get in supporting Steven. If you're able to give, any amount — big or small, it will make a huge difference in Steven's battle with leukemia. If you can't donate, please share this humble request with your network of friends and family to help us reach more people.
Let’s Stand with Steven!
I can honestly say, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like Steven. He is one of the kindest, most generous, big-hearted people I know. In the past, if anyone had a need he was the first to jump in and help, bringing you from tears to laughter without missing a beat with his upbeat personality and sense of humor. Now it’s our turn to return the favor to him.
Thank you for your prayers, support, and generosity for Steven during this difficult time.
We know and believe that Jesus is the ultimate healer, and we put our trust in Him. Your prayers and support are truly appreciated!
With gratitude,
Jill Martin and Family
