Urgent - Support Person in Rafah meet basic needs

Hey everyone! My name is Raisa and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of a dear family member who needs support. Please consider taking a minute out of your day to contribute and share widely as this is an urgent ask.

My family member's message to you is below:

"Hi everyone. I live in Rafah, Gaza, Palestine where I have lived my whole life and in this moment I need your support. I do not need to describe the conditions of the ongoing phase of the genocide that we are living through to you. I am sure you have all seen it.

Here is a little piece of my story: My neighborhood has been destroyed. Bombs have been dropped literally at our doorstep. I have been displaced multiple times trying to find a safe place. Of course there is no safe space in Gaza as long as this genocide continues. My work place was bombed along with our family bakery that has sustained our family for years. This is not even to mention the psychological trauma of waking up daily to news of martyred friends and family members - I repeat daily. I, along with many others, are also constantly sick (I am sick right now as I write this) due to the deteriorating living conditions that are forced upon us.

As many people have been forcefully displaced from other parts of Gaza and forced to flee to Rafah, I along with other family members, despite the suffering we are going through, have opened up our home to those who were displaced. At one point there were at least 300 people living in the house.

Later, we set up tents outside as the situation kept getting worse. We also risk our lives under zionist bombardement to distribute basic canned goods, blankets and winter clothes to those in the displacement camps when we can.

I need your support to continue to be able to eat and survive and try and help those around me when possible. This request is especially urgent with the recent news of the occupation threatening to invade Rafah. We know that the situation could get worse and now this is the time to act.

I need money to buy basic food (canned goods and flour). I also needs money to buy blankets and other shelter materials. I do not like asking people for money, but this is literally a matter of life or death.
