Hi there. We truly hate to ask, but circumstances beyond our control are forcing our hands.
The owners had over 1 million dollars stolen from their retirement. And Lisa's husband lost his job more than 6 months ago and still hasn't received any state unemployment. It's put a total hardship on us.
We seriously need urgent help with rent first and then payroll. Rent is $4,950.00 per month and payroll for staff only is $5,000.00 a month. None of the funds will be going to us personally. Any of your donations, no matter the amount, will be used first for rent, then payroll, ongoing vet bills, food, and supplies.
We collectively have over 100 years of experience! I personally help with unwanted parrots, helping to find the very best homes for them. I've also been able to save injured and sick feathered companions by offering quick medical care with antibiotics, wrapping of injuries, and stabilizing them for the owners until they can get into a proper vet. And, yes, I do it free of charge, because it truly hurts my heart to see any injured or sick animals.
Right now of the utmost urgency is to have help in getting the rent paid. Our lease is up at the end of April and if we don't stay current, I'm very worried about losing our ability to renew it.
Payments can even go directly to our landlord if need be. Another part of the problem is that we were down over $25,000 from 2023 to 2024.
If anyone is hiring, my husband is looking for work. He's excellent in writing leases, managing credit departments, writing legal papers like appeals, and excellent with legal case studies.
Again, we truly hate to have to ask for help, but starting our 16th year in business we simply must. We do everything we can to educate people, providing total support to all, and work with conserving these birds who are losing their habitats.
I'm thanking each and every one of you who have supported us over all of these years, and our rescued parrots also thank you!
