Urgent Support Needed for The Catio
Tax deductible
At The Catio Cat Lounge, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Nashville, we are dedicated to rescuing and rehoming cats and kittens from high-kill shelters and the streets. As the largest-capacity catio in the US, we are often the first call for senior and special-needs cats in urgent need of placement. Since opening in 2019, The Catio has found loving homes for over 6,000 cats and has become a beloved resource for animal lovers across Middle Tennessee and beyond.
This year, due to a combination of unexpected setbacks, we have lost over $37,000 -- funds that would have gone directly to lifesaving care and shelter. Without emergency support, we face the very real risk of closing their doors by the end of the summer.
We are calling on compassionate individuals and businesses to help sustain this vital work.
Here’s how your donation can make an impact:
$5,500: One month of rent
$2,000: One employee’s salary for a month
$1,200: One month of utilities
$1,000: Emergency hospital stay
$750: A week of food and litter for all resident cats
$500: A single cat's entire stay until adoption day
$100: Medical care for a new rescue
Our goal is to raise $45,000 to stabilize operations and cover recent emergency medical expenses for three of our residents.
Every gift, large or small, brings us one step closer to keeping this safe haven open for the cats who need it most.
In return, sponsors will receive:
Proud recognition on our Sponsor Wall at The Catio, and on our website
Shout-outs on social media
Opportunities for private facility access
Recognition in our newsletters and annual reports
The opportunity for one of our rooms to be named in their honor
