Urgent Support Needed for Schively family
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
I’m writing to share some heart-wrenching news about my brother Shawn Schively. On the evening of September 25th, Shawn suffered a catastrophic brain bleed while at home working on his car. Thankfully, Bella sensed that something was terribly wrong and acted quickly, calling 911.
Shawn was rushed to Fairview Southdale Hospital but due to the severity of his condition, he was transferred to the University of Minnesota for life-saving brain surgery. We’re incredibly relieved to say that he is a miracle in the making. However, the journey is far from over. Shawn has been in the ICU for the past week, and his recovery will be both grueling and prolonged. He is anticipated to be in the ICU for several weeks, if not months and he needs our strength and support now more than ever.
The emotional and financial toll on Shawn, Christy, Tristan & Bella is immense. We are asking all of you—friends and family—to come together and show your support during this incredibly challenging time. Whether it’s a financial contribution, joining a meal train, or simply sending your love and encouragement, every little bit helps.
Sara Johnson, a long time family friend, will be the local Eden Prairie connection. She will be facilitating and coordinating future meals, errands to be run, other ideas my family could use, and the local drop off point of contact. Sara will be making a Caring Bridge post with her contact information and more details.
Please consider finding it in your heart to help my wonderful family navigate the difficult road ahead. If you would prefer to make a direct donation to the Schively family, you can connect with Christy on Venmo @christy-schively the last four of her phone #5627
Please follow Shawn's progress on CaringBridge, Christy will respond to messages as she can.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. We are thankful for the outpouring of support and love-
With love
