Hoy queremos abrir nuestros corazones y compartir una difícil situación que enfrentamos como familia. Nuestra familiar, Noemí Gómez, fue diagnosticada recientemente con un tumor meningioma (cerebral) que afecta su movilidad, memoria y habla. Los especialistas recomiendan una cirugía inmediata, ya que el tumor avanza con rapidez y pudiera encadenar una serie de complicaciones de salud.

Mientras recibe tratamientos para controlar el edema cerebral y los vértigos, Noemí mantiene una actitud positiva y una fe inquebrantable. Sueña con seguir disfrutando de la vida junto a sus hijos, nietos, hermanos y amistades.

El propósito de esta campaña es reunir los fondos necesarios para cubrir la cirugía y así poder recuperar su calidad de vida y salud con el fin de que siga compartiendo momentos con quienes la aman.

¿Qué riesgos existen si NO se realiza la operación?

- Accidente cerebro vascular (ACV).

- Convulsiones.

- Pérdida progresiva de la movilidad.

- Alteraciones del ritmo cardíaco.

- Paro respiratorio.

¿Qué necesitamos cubrir?

Para que la operación sea posible, debemos cubrir:

- Cirugía programada: 35,537 CAD / 25,659 USD / 22.238 Euros

Excluidos: gastos post operatorios de rehabilitación y tratamientos por un mínimo de 6 meses. Los cuales no tenemos presupuestados al momento. Los cuales podrían cubrirse junto a sus familiares mas allegados.

¿Cuándo se realiza la cirugía?

Especialistas neurocirujanos recomiendan que sea cuanto antes. Pero no contamos con los recursos monetarios ni las condiciones adecuadas en el sector público para realizar dicha operación por considerarse de alto riesgo. Por ello optamos por el sector privado con el fin de minimizar los riesgos.

¿Cuál es el plazo de esta campaña de recaudación?

Se proyecta la campaña hasta el 5 de Mayo del 2026 para programar la cirugía. Ya que ha presentado una desmejora en la salud debido al avance del tumor, por lo que debemos acelerar la recaudación de los fondos y operar cuantos antes.

Today we want to open our hearts and share a difficult situation we are facing as a family. Our relative, Noemí Gómez, was recently diagnosed with a meningioma (brain tumor) that is affecting her mobility, memory, and speech. Specialists recommend immediate surgery, as the tumor is growing rapidly and could lead to a series of health complications.

While undergoing treatments to manage brain edema and dizziness, Noemí maintains a positive attitude and unwavering faith. She dreams of continuing to enjoy life alongside her children, grandchildren, siblings, and friends.

The purpose of this campaign is to raise the necessary funds to cover the surgery so she can regain her quality of life and health, allowing her to continue sharing moments with those who love her.

What are the risks if the surgery is NOT performed?

- Stroke.

- Seizures.

- Progressive loss of mobility.

- Heart rhythm disturbances.

- Respiratory arrest.

What do we need to cover?

To make the surgery possible, we must cover:

- Scheduled surgery: 35,537 CAD / 25,659 USD / 22.238 Euros

Excluded: post-operative rehabilitation and treatment costs for a minimum of 6 months. We do not currently have a budget for these. They could be covered along with their closest family members.

When will the surgery take place?

Neurosurgery specialists recommend that it be performed as soon as possible. However, we do not have the financial resources or the appropriate conditions in the public sector to perform this operation, as it is considered high-risk. For this reason, we have opted for the private sector in order to minimize the risks.

How long will this fundraising campaign last?

The campaign is scheduled to run until May 5, 2026, to arrange the surgery. Since the patient’s health has deteriorated due to the tumor’s progression, we must speed up the fundraising effort and perform the surgery as soon as possible.
