Urgent Support Needed for Niko's Life-Saving Treatment

Hi everyone, this isn't easy to ask for, but my family and I desperately need your help. We have just learned that our beloved dog Niko, who we rescued in 2014, may have cancer. He has a large 10cm mass in his stomach and another one that is 4.6m in his left lung. This came on so suddenly and is devastating for all of us. He needs a CT scan and biopsy to determine whether they are cancerous.

We urgently need your help. Niko has had trouble eating and a loss of appetite for almost a week now, but he does have an appetite stimulant that is helping. It is so painful to see him go through this.

Your contribution will help cover:

CT scan ($3,000-$4,000)

Surgery ($8,000-$10,000)

I am just raising for CT scan first.

I do plan on giving updates as time goes.

We are not ready to let our boy go. He has been a part of our family for over 10 years now. He is family and we can't imagine life without him especially 5 year old son. This dog means the world to him and he doesnt know life without him.

Niko has a cautious and quiet nature. We rescued him from the Humane Society when he was a year old so we don't know anything about his past before us. It took 4 days for him to feel comfortable enough with us to show his voice and since then he has not held back on his vocal excitement, especially before every walk and every raw marrow bone he gets after dinner. Occasionally with some encouragement, he builds up to let his rare, low howl come out and its just the most beautiful sound. Niko also loves to chase the occasional rabbit when given the chance, but they are always too fast. He has picked fights with iguanas, raccoons, chickens and turtles. Flies are his arch-nemeses! He loves to sunbathe every day and he has a herding instinct that comes out when we start running, especially when my son runs too far from me. He is a rare cuddler but he enjoys head hugs very much. He is the best boy.
