Help for Mike Gonzales Medical & Living Expenses

Dear friends, Family, and Community Members,

My family and I are reaching out on behalf of my dad Mike Gonzales. In early February he was diagnosed with a brain tumor about the size of a grapefruit. With this, masses around his throat were also found. He will be having surgery on March 12, 2024 to remove the brain tumor and we are not sure how long he will be out of work for. He is the main provider for his wife as well as me and my wife.

Over the last 3 years my dad has lost over 100lbs. He rarely has an appetite and most of the time when he does eat, he ends up getting sick and throwing it all up. He also suffers from extreme anxiety which we believe is caused by the tumor.

He just started a new job in August of 2023 so he does not have very good health insurance, or much job security. Since we do not know how long he'll be in recovery, we worry he may not have a job when he is ready to go back to work.

My wife and I have been doing our best to make extra money to help pay bills by picking up extra shifts and DoorDashing when we can but that can be unreliable. One thing my dad prides himself in is being able to support his family financially so of course he's very hesitant to take off so much time for his health.

Any sort of help will be greatly appreciated, no matter the amount to help cover costs of medical bills, groceries, and living expenses.
