An unexpected and challenging emergency is affecting their house. I’m starting this to help them with stabilizing the ground around their house because of soil erosion which caused the garage wall to collapse.

This is their story about what happened and why it has come to asking for support. With the heavy rains on Saturday, June 14th caused the wall to collapse after years of soil erosion. Now because of the close proximity, the soil erosion is endangering the house. They are both devastated it has come to this, because if you know Kevin or Lisa, they don’t like the fact that they have to ask for help. Unfortunately insurance does not cover soil erosion.

All funds raised will go towards repairs and stabilization of the ground to ensure the house doesn’t collapse. They’re not looking to get enough to build a new garage; just enough to build a retaining wall to help stop the soil erosion and stabilize the house.

In the long term, their plan was to look into home modifications to make their house accessible. They have to prepare just in case for the event of potentially having two family members that may have to come stay with them due to medical/disability issues, so any funds left over would go towards that goal.
