My name is Kayla Moses. i’m a recent college graduate, and a servant of my community. i’m asking, begging and pleading for your help. my family wasn’t aware of the longstanding situation regarding our rent. My father was trusted with handling the rent and unfortunately fell short SINCE SEPTEMBER. He didn’t tell anyone in the household the gravity of the situation. I was at work when my mother called me to tell me we’re getting evicted from our home (it’s an two story apartment, i call it a home because that’s where i lay my head at night so it is my home). To find out we need $29,400. The rent monthly was 3600 for reference. Essentially, my mother, 3 little sisters, aunt and her son and myself will be homeless (the landlord initially said 5pm but thankfully gave us til 10am tomorrow May 7th).
