Urgent Support Needed for Huni Kuin Leaders Cosmo and Damião

Hello friends, sisters and brothers, we would like to introduce ourselves to you. We are Cosmo Busen and Damião Siã. We are 38 year old twins, spiritual leaders, students and administrate the indigenous community Txana Huya.

We are from the Huni Kuin group and live in the indigenous land Igarapé do Caucho, Muru River. We are the guardians of our forest. However, we come here to ask your support and contribution towards medical treatments for our material health.

Damião has a big lesion on his knee, with 3 torn ligaments. He is not able to walk and needs to have a surgery done. And me, Cosmo, I need to have a surgery on my spine. It is a bone growth, called bone spurs, and I also have a cyst in the testicle.

We are very happy for all the effort and for those who can help donating towards me and my brother's health. Damião’s surgery will cost R$31.290 in Rio Branco and Cosmo still needs a consultation for the exact cost of his surgery and treatment. Besides that we also have the expenses with the travel, transportation, accommodation, food, and medication. Damião will need to stay in the city for about 20 days after his surgery to recover, which costs R$5.000. That is why the need to gather $10,000.00. I believe in the strength and union of the sisterhood and brotherhood and in the strength of Yuxibu, the great spirit, that everything is going to be all right dear family Aline, her husband, and Julian and to all that can help. Our health is first.
