In the heart of Gaza, under a tattered tent that offers no protection from the scorching sun or the bitter cold of the night, twins Jihad and Khader, not yet two years old, lie in distress.

But their suffering didn't begin at birth; it started while they were still in their mother's womb. Their mother, Hanin, endured her pregnancy amidst war and constant displacement, with severe shortages of food and medical care. She suffered from malnutrition and lacked the basic necessities for a healthy pregnancy, which affected their health from the very beginning. The twins were born with significant health challenges, and their condition has deteriorated further with continued hunger and deprivation.

Today, their small bodies appear emaciated from hunger and malnutrition. There is not enough food, not enough milk to meet their needs, and no medicine to help them overcome their dire health conditions. Even their cries have become weak, their strength sapped by hunger.

Their mother tries her best to protect them and ease their suffering, but she is helpless in the face of a reality that grows harsher every day. Their sisters, Amal and Kinda, watch their younger brothers with worry and fear, wondering daily if they will have enough to survive.

We are making this urgent humanitarian appeal to:
