Jihad and Khudr… Starving in Silence

In the heart of Gaza, beneath a torn tent that offers no shade from the scorching sun nor warmth during the freezing nights, sleep two-year-old twin brothers—Jihad and Khudr.
 Their fragile bodies are wasting away. Their skin clings to their thin bones. Even their cries are barely audible—not because they don’t feel pain, but because hunger has silenced them.
No food.
No flour.
No milk.
Not even clean water.
Their mother, Haneen, tries desperately to quiet their hunger with nothing but boiling water and worn-out cloth. Hours pass while they groan in agony, and fear grips her with every breath.
 No home. No shelter. No means of survival.
 Their two sisters, Amal and Canada, look on as their baby brothers fade, whispering: “Mama… is Jihad going to die? Will Khudr die too?”
