Dear friends near and far, relatives close and distant,

I am setting this fund up as an urgent plea for help for my dear friends who are in need of immediate assistance.

Recently my best friend Dayle and her husband Dio were delivered terrible news. Dio has been unexpectedly diagnosed with kidney failure and will be put on the transplant list as soon as possible. Following an 11 day inpatient stay at the hospital, Dio was discharged and is finally home where he is comfortable, but the road ahead will be long and strenuous, both physically and mentally.

Upon discharge, Dayle and Dio's world has been completely turned upside down. While they wait for further information Dio is continuing ongoing treatment, and needs to adapt to an entirely new and specialized diet, while they navigate his needs.

Dio and Dayle both work as EMTs and are truly some of the kindest and pure hearted people I know in this world. They work every day to help others, save lives, and make a positive impact. They really are heroes.

During this time, neither Dio or Dayle is able to work, and as one could imagine, unexpected emergency expenses can add up - fast. On top of the hospital stay, which ends up being thousands out of pocket, they will have to figure out daily/monthly expenses as well as Dio's ongoing dialysis treatment.

The most urgent and pressing need for my friends is financial assistance. ANYTHING you can contribute will make a huge difference and will be profoundly appreciated.

Dio and Dayle have given so much of themselves to to take care of strangers and their community. Please consider donating to help them get through this - to take care of themselves to they can get back to their beloved work, healthy.
