Amanda’s Final Journey Home
A Message of Gratitude and Continued Appeal
Dear Family, Friends and Supporters,
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Amanda Joanne Kiut Tolimanaram, who passed away on 2 October 2026 at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Manila, Philippines, following her courageous battle with cancer. Since her diagnosis in 2024, Amanda endured a long and difficult journey involving radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and numerous medical complications. Throughout her illness, she showed tremendous courage, strength, and determination. As a family, we had hoped and prayed for her recovery. Although the outcome was not what we had hoped for, we remain thankful to God for Amanda’s life, the precious memories we shared, and the time we were blessed to spend with her.
Our Heartfelt Appreciation
We wish to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported Amanda throughout her journey. Your generous donations, prayers, encouraging messages, and willingness to share her story have been a tremendous blessing to our family. Your kindness helped us meet the demands of her medical treatment and enabled us to remain by her side during some of the most difficult moments of her life. We will forever be grateful for the love and compassion shown to Amanda and our family.
Our Final Appeal – Help Us Bring Amanda
Home
Our family is still in Manila, Philippines, making the necessary arrangements to repatriate Amanda’s remains to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. While Amanda’s medical journey has come to an end, we now face one final responsibility: bringing her home to her family and loved ones. The repatriation process involves additional expenses, including the preparation of her remains, funeral home services in Manila, necessary documentation, and international transportation to Port Moresby. Having already incurred substantial medical expenses throughout Amanda’s treatment, our family is seeking further financial assistance to meet these repatriation costs. We therefore humbly appeal once again to everyone who has supported Amanda’s journey, and to anyone who may wish to assist, for contributions towards bringing her home. All additional funds raised through this appeal will be directed towards Amanda’s repatriation from Manila to Port Moresby. Any contribution, regardless of the amount, will make a meaningful difference. For those unable to contribute financially, your continued prayers and sharing of this appeal will be greatly appreciated.
Our Faith and Hope
As Christians, we find comfort in God’s promises and in the blessed hope of the resurrection. Although we grieve Amanda’s passing, we hold firmly to the hope that one day, through Christ, we will see her again. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV) Thank you for walking alongside Amanda and our family throughout this journey. Your love, generosity, and prayers have carried us through many difficult days. We ask for your continued support as we work towards bringing our beloved Amanda home.
With heartfelt appreciation and gratitude,
The Tolimanaram Family
