Your Help Can Save Alicia’s Vision,ONLY Kidney and Feet Before it's too late.

My name is Alicia Bramwell, and I am a 31-year-old woman from Jamaica facing the very real possibility of Losing my SIGHT, MY ONLY KIDNEY, AND MY FEET

I have lived with diabetes since I was 13 years old. Over the years, I have endured repeated hospitalizations, lost one of my kidneys, and watched my health slowly take away my independence and ability to work. Every dollar I saved for school and survival was consumed by medical expenses.

I have now been diagnosed with proliferative diabetic retinopathy with traction retinal detachment, a severe and progressive condition that is already stealing my vision. My right eye has deteriorated to the point where it must remain covered at all times to prevent accidental trauma, infection, by acting as a physical barrier against rubbing,pressure etc. The disease has now affected my right eye badly as well.

Without urgent treatment, I may lose my sight, ONLY KIDNEY and FEET permanently.

The cost of care is more than I can manage:

Nearly JMD $4,000,000 for surgery of my eye. Lazer Treatments and Medication costs are far beyond what I can manage.

My family and friends have supported me for as long as they could, but they are no longer able to continue. I am now completely dependent on the kindness of others.

I never imagined I would have to ask strangers for help, but today I am asking with humility and hope.
