We are a family of six in urgent need of help. For the past few years, our health has rapidly declined, and everything points to an environmental issue affecting our home. While we are still working with many different health professionals, our attorneys, and the state to determine the full scope, we cannot afford to wait and risk further harm to ourselves and especially our children. We are the only voice they have. This was not a decision made based on fear or blame, but of factual proof, labs, testing, and the list goes on. We have already had to have unexplainable surgery with one child, and our other 3 are following suit.
Out of deep concern, we made the difficult decision to leave our home and are currently staying with family—but this is only a short-term option. Our entire financial investment is tied up in our house, we built our dream from the ground up in a town we wanted to call home forever, which has made this decision even more difficult. But we are unable to sell at this time due to the complex and ongoing situation. And we would never want to risk another family to deal with a partial of what we have faced. We plan to return home temporarily only to sell all of our belongings and do everything in our power to raise funds ourselves. So please understand we are not just asking for help or a handout—we’re fighting every way we can just to give our children a safe and clean environment which should not be something anyone should ever have to ask for.
One of my recent blood panels (5/27/2025) revealed a rare and concerning immune cell abnormality — monoclonal B-cell lymphocytosis (MBL), a condition that can precede certain blood cancers like CLL (chronic lymphocytic leukemia). And while it all adds up and my symptoms align i have some more testing that needs to take place so we can find which treatment to proceed with. We just got the call while in Florida and we were told more testing and treatment needs to begin immediately, so as of now I am being referred to an oncology specialist in Traverse City. So this has put us in an even more desperate situation. All of our children’s specialist are also located in Michigan so it makes sense to stay and fight. Doctors are unsure if this is linked to a toxin, past infection, or another trigger — but everything we’ve been through points back to our environment.
Because of the legal aspects involved, we are limited in what we can share publicly. Please know that we are taking this seriously and have sought representation with what is going on. I wish I could give more details, but we have to be extremely careful. What I can say is that we are doing this to protect our children, and we will NEVER stop trying.
My husband has had to take so much time off work to take care of our children while I battle severe health issues while in the meantime he is suffering with his own which are very serious and concerning. He has had to focus on our children and myself for Dr appointments which most require a couple hours out of our town. It has taken everything we have had to get where we are now. We are trying to buy a reliable camper to live in temporarily while we get answers and plan our next steps. We need help covering the cost of a safe camper, temporary living arrangements, and basic essentials while we get back on our feet. While we hope to get most money from what we can sell once we return home it’s not guaranteed. Once we return I don’t know how long we will have before things go downhill again so our goal is to get in and get out.
Another thought maybe someone has a camper just sitting around not being used that we could use until we find out our next move. We just ask that it is safe, and will accommodate our family of 6. We don’t need anything new, fancy or the cool gadgets. Simple, safe and clean.
If you can help us in any way—whether by donating or sharing our story—we are incredibly grateful. Every bit brings us one step closer to safety and stability.
Your support would help us:
• Secure a safe and healthy place to live (a used camper or RV)
• Cover emergency travel, fuel, and basic living needs
• Provide clean water and safe food during transition
• Give our kids a stable, healthy space while the legal and medical pieces are worked through
Thank you for reading, and thank you for believing in us.
