Urgent Support Needed: Eric Ducote's Medical Emergency
Donation protected
My name is Tina Martin, and I’m writing this on behalf of my dear friend Christine Ducote, with her permission to share her story.
On Sunday, October 20th, Christine’s world changed in an instant. Her beloved husband of 26 years, Eric, suffered a brain aneurysm, an extensive subarachnoid hemorrhage with bleeding throughout his ventricle system, and went into cardiac arrest twice which was caused by the aneurysm. He was rushed to Lourdes and then transferred to Lafayette General, where he underwent surgery. Right now, he’s on a ventilator, bravely fighting for his life. His doctors have expressed that he’s in serious condition, and they are taking it day by day.
Just days before this tragedy, Christine and Eric returned from an incredible three-week motorcycle trip to celebrate their anniversary, a journey filled with joy and adventure. As many in our community know, they have poured their hearts into their small business, City Glass in St. Martinville, working side by side for decades.
With Eric’s sudden medical emergency, the financial burden has become overwhelming, especially with their shop now closed. In light of this, I’ve created a GoFundMe page with Christine’s approval, to support them during this incredibly challenging time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference and go directly to them.
Please keep Eric, Christine, and their children in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult journey. We also kindly ask for their privacy during this time. I will share updates here as Christine wishes. Thank you for your compassion and support.
