My name is I.Kaur, I am a 19-year-old international student currently living in Winnipeg, Canada. I came here last year with a dream — to support my family back home in India and build a better future for all of us.

A few days ago, my life changed forever. My parents were involved in a tragic road accident in India, and I lost both of them. They were my only support, my strength, and my reason to keep pushing forward.

Back home, I now have my younger sister, who is physically disabled, and she depends completely on me. I am the only one left to take care of her and manage everything.

At this moment, I am facing serious financial difficulties. I cannot afford the travel expenses to go back to India, nor do I have enough resources to support my sister and handle the responsibilities that suddenly fell on me.

I never thought I would have to ask for help like this, but today I am reaching out with hope. Any support — big or small — will mean the world to me and will help me stand back on my feet during this painful time.

ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਸਟੂਡੈਂਟ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਵਿਨੀਪੇਗ, ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਧੀਆ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ।

ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਦਲ ਗਈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਤਾ-ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਐਕਸੀਡੈਂਟ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੋ ਬੈਠਾ। ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਸਨ।

ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਭੈਣ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਾਰੀਰਿਕ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਅਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਕਰਨੀ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਭਾਰਤ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਪੈਸੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਭੈਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਈ ਕਾਫੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

ਮੈਂ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਦਦ ਮੰਗਣੀ ਪਵੇਗੀ, ਪਰ ਅੱਜ ਮੈਂ ਉਮੀਦ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਹਾਂ। ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਮਦਦ — ਛੋਟੀ ਜਾਂ ਵੱਡੀ — ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ।
