Urgent Support Needed After a Devastating Fire

We humbly come to all of you with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for support following a traumatic incident that occurred just last week. My sister, Emily, and I have always valued the importance of family, friends, and community. Today, I find myself pleading for your assistance during this challenging time.

On Friday the 15th, Emily and I experienced a devastating fire in our apartment. The fire not only left our home uninhabitable but also destroyed nearly everything we own, including many items which held sentimental value and cannot be replaced. This experience has been emotionally and financially overwhelming, and we are now facing the daunting task of rebuilding our lives from the ground up.

In the aftermath of this tragedy, we have decided to set up a fund to help us get back on our feet and rebuild what was lost. Your generous support, no matter the amount, will go a long way in helping us recover from this traumatic event. Here's how your contribution can make a difference:

Housing: The immediate priority is finding a new, safe place to live. We are in temporary housing for the next two months but will need a new solution very quickly. Our current housing is not cat friendly and we are urgently trying to find a way to reunite our family. Your support will help cover temporary housing expenses and a security deposit for a new apartment. We are desperately trying to find a way to stay with our cat, Nym. He is currently couch surfing and we are just trying to keep him close. Nym saved my life by waking me up during the apartment fire.

Basic Necessities: Many essential items like food, bathroom supplies, appliances, furniture, and kitchen supplies were lost in the fire. This list doesn’t even begin to cover everything we lost but begins to show you the things we will start trying to replace. Due to medical issues I have to maintain a gluten and peanut free diet and it is not cheap. Your donation will assist with the purchase of these necessities to reestablish a stable living environment.
