After 9 years away from skeleton, I’ve been invited to race for Israel; my first race is in DAYS and I need your help!

After nine years away from skeleton, time I spent focusing on freestyle skiing and competing for Hungary in the 2018 Winter Olympics, I never imagined I’d have the chance to return to this sport. But this season, I was invited to compete internationally for Israel, and my first races are next week in Korea.

To get to the start line, I urgently need to raise funds for travel, a sled, and race fees. This comeback means more to me than I can express. The Israeli bobsled and skeleton athletes I’ve joined are some of the most hardworking, passionate, and supportive teammates I’ve ever met. They train with limited resources, huge heart, and an unwavering commitment to representing Israel on the world stage. Their grit inspires me daily, and I’m honored to compete alongside them and help bring female representation to the program.

With enough support, I can race in Korea and then continue the rest of the Olympic qualification season, competing in Lake Placid, New York, and Yanqing, China (the 2022 Olympic track), as I pursue qualification for the 2026 Winter Olympics or help build a powerful foundation for 2030. These next few weeks are absolutely critical. This athletic opportunity is deeply intertwined with a personal journey I never expected.

Earlier this year, I discovered my Jewish heritage, including that my grandparents and great-grandparents were Holocaust survivors, which reshaped my identity in profound ways. Since then, I’ve become very involved in the Jewish community: organizing Jewish-themed comedy shows, taking classes, attending Chabad and Shabbat events, and surrounding myself with people who have welcomed me with warmth and pride.

Learning I’m Jewish while being invited to represent Israel felt like two missing pieces of my life finally locking together, and returning to my skeleton family after nearly a decade away felt like the third piece of the puzzle, completing a picture I didn’t even know was unfinished.

Representing Israel now is about far more than sport. It’s a chance to honor my heritage, uplift a team of extraordinary Israeli athletes, and inspire anyone who discovers their Judaism later in life, or chooses to stand proudly as an ally. Your support will help me get to Korea next week and compete in Lake Placid and Yanqing this season, proudly racing for Israel at every stop along the way.
