My name is Issa. I’ve spent the last three years in Prague, where I dedicated myself to building spaces of belonging and expression—hosting multicultural events, poetry readings, and music nights that celebrated marginalized voices like mine.

I did this not for profit, but from love—for art, for truth, and for all of us who have ever felt unseen.

But behind the scenes, my mental and emotional health have been deteriorating due to profound personal traumas. I have faced betrayal, loss, racial attacks, emotional isolation, and the long-term toll of simply trying to survive in a place where I don't truly feel safe or at peace anymore.

Today, I am in a crisis. I’m mentally exhausted, spiritually depleted, and physically unwell. I can no longer carry this weight alone.

I need to go home to Sierra Leone.

Home is where I can begin to heal—in the warmth of family, in the presence of ancestral strength, and among the land and people that first gave me life.

But I need your help to get there—and I need it soon.

Why This Is Urgent:

I need to leave the Czech Republic in the next weeks (mid - end of August) to escape further psychological harm. Staying longer is not sustainable.

I am humbly seeking to raise $1,500 - $2,000 to cover:

A one-way ticket to Freetown, Sierra Leone

Visa and travel document fees

Required vaccinations and other essentials for safe travel.
