Hi, I'm Kelly Rose, I'm married (for 31 years) to Tim Rose. Tim is the owner of Rose Lane Restorations LLC, a well-respected and successful classic auto restoration business here in Vancouver, WA and has been in business for almost 20 years.
Some of you know that in the spring of 2024 Tim had a medical emergency that involved a broken hip and two fractured vertebrae in his lower back. That put him in the hospital for almost a month. To compound matters further, he was discharged from the hospital with a MRSA infection that was not present prior to his admission. As a result, he was not only unable to stand or walk, but bed-ridden for 6 months. Our family had essentially lost our household breadwinner. This forced us to pause business at that time (not to mention the theft of tools and resources while the business was unattended). It took another 12 months to get Tim from wheelchair, to walker, to cane just to be able to walk again. We have recently "reopened the doors" of Rose Lane Restorations at a much smaller capacity, but the past couple of years have been more than difficult. To simply survive these past two years, we have been forced to liquidate all assets and are now on the verge of losing our home.
Prior to all of this, we had a punitive lien put on our home by Clark County for a technicality regarding an existing ag building on our property. We were working with the county to resolve it, but when this emergency hit, we had to focus fully on that. Because of that lien, we were not able to access the equity in our home when we really needed it, and those fees have continued to add up daily at $750/day. We sold what assets we had to get by, but now we are out of options. The lien is more than the value of the house, we are significantly behind on our mortgage and everything else, our once stellar credit is gone, and we have no other assets to sell.
At this time, we need to immediately catch up our mortgage, or we WILL lose our home of 20 years. This is not just time sensitive, IT IS URGENT. We also need funds for continued medical bills and for resolving the lien with the county (once engineered plans are submitted for this as-built existing structure, the exorbitant lien will be removed). Please know that we have thought of everything and tried to solve this in every way. This is the reality of a life-altering medical emergency and a fee-happy county. We are about to LOSE IT ALL.
Any financial help is appreciated. Thank you. ~Kelly & Tim
