Recently, Ray faced an unimaginable challenge when his young child underwent major brain tumor surgery at Children’s Hospital LA. Ray had to stop working entirely for over a month, providing 12-hour daily shifts to care for his child at the hospital. This meant no income for weeks, and as a result, Ray now faces a considerable amount of backlogged debt. His child cannot attend daycare or play in parks and needs special care and therapies for the foreseeable future. The financial strain of medical expenses, legal fees, and daily living costs has become overwhelming.
Now, Ray is facing an urgent asylum court date this July. He needs funds as soon as possible to pay his attorney, so the attorney can attend the hearing online.
