Help Our Family Rebuild After Hurricane Milton

Hello, my name is MJ, and my family and I are facing an urgent housing crisis. We are located in Lakeland FL.

Due to severe damage caused by Hurricane Milton, our rental home has become uninhabitable, leaving us displaced with nowhere to turn. Our landlord has not provided a solution, and while we are seeking legal counsel, we’ve had to rely entirely on our own funds and family members for temporary housing. This has drained our savings, and unfortunately, FEMA has denied our initial claim, with an appeal in progress that could take up to 90 days.

We’re incredibly grateful to have found a new home that we’ve been approved for and already covered application and deposit fees. However, we now urgently need help to cover move-in expenses and essential replacements. Our goal is to raise $5,000, with $1,800 needed by Saturday, November 16th, to help secure our new home.

Any additional funds will go toward replacing essential items lost during the flooding, including:

We deeply appreciate any support you can offer, whether through a donation or by sharing our story. This is a difficult time, but with your help, we can rebuild and provide a safe, stable environment for our family.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any help you can provide.
