Today, we are facing something we never wanted to write again.

Margaret’s cancer has returned.

And this time, it’s more aggressive.

Her doctors have made it clear: she can’t wait a month to begin treatment. Every day matters. We’ve been in contact with a specialized alternative treatment center that offers a comprehensive, evidence-based program focused on restoring her immune system and attacking the cancer at its root. But the cost is staggering — it starts at $200,000 with a potential to be higher.

Care at this treatment center would require us to move out of state and across the country for 4 months.

We’ve already poured everything we had — financially and emotionally — into fighting this once before. Between closing our café and ongoing medical bills, we’ve reached the limits of what we can do alone. And yet, we’re not giving up.

Margaret is the kind of person who has always given more than she’s had — to her family, to friends, and to complete strangers who walked into her coffee shop needing a warm smile or a kind word. Now, she needs that same circle of love to surround her.
