Urgent Support for Lamees's Family's journey to safety

Donation protected
My sister-in-law, Lamees, and her husband Rami, along with their 5 children Hala, Noor, Sama, Mena, and Mustafa need your support to leave Gaza as soon as the Rafah border opens.

One of the pressing emergencies in Lamees’s family is to get her daughter Noor to a hospital to treat a tumor discovered in her brain just a few weeks before the war. There is no reliable care and treatment available for her in Gaza.

They left their house a week after October 7th and were living in a tent in Khan Younis until they were forced to evacuate and have since been staying in 1 room at the house of a relative. Their house has been hit by a rocket and they are unable to return to it until there is a permanent ceasefire.

Like many Palestinians in Gaza, they have high hopes for the future and every day they imagine that a permanent ceasefire will start soon. However, they have accepted that this war has already taken a huge toll on their children and there is no end in sight.

Lamess and her family must leave to give their family security, for Noor to get to a hospital for her tumor, for all the kids to continue their college and school studies, and for their lives to be peaceful.

Lamess is a hard-working mum of 5 and she holds a Masters Degree in Education. Her husband Rami is part of the international development community and a successful businessman.

Hala and Noor, the two oldest daughters were studying medicine at university when the war broke out and they are eager to continue their studies.

Here is Noor on the outside wall of a hospital just days ago receiving fluids to get her energy back because the pain from the tumor causes her to have no appetite.

Sama, the 3rd daughter is a violin prodigy and she has been volunteering during the war and playing the violin to displaced and orphaned children bringing smiles to their faces. She was recently asked to be interviewed by a major Arab news channel for her courageous and servant leadership during this war.

Mena is the youngest daughter who has spent the war also volunteering her time to face paint other kid’s faces making them laugh for a brief moment.

Mustafa is the youngest sibling and he looks up to his dad who has done all he can to make life safe for them up until this moment.

On behalf of Lamess’s family, I ask for your support to enable them to get on the list to leave Gaza as soon as the Rafah border opens.

$5,000 per person is the cost to leave Gaza.
$35,000 is the cost for Lamess and her family to leave.
$15,000 is the cost to help them get situated in Egypt where they will be living once they leave Gaza.

$50,000 is our total ask to help them leave and settle in a new home in Egypt.

Thank you in advance for your generosity in supporting Lamees’s family.
