Urgent Support for Junho Yoo

Update on 11/26/23: On behalf of my entire family, I want to take the time to sincerely thank you all for praying and supporting Junho. Yesterday, we unfortunately received his MRI results yesterday which deemed recovery would not be possible. As a family we have collectively decided to give Junho everlasting peace and comfort. We will miss him deeply.

Junho’s funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 2nd, at 10am at Saint Ambrose of Woodbury (4125 Woodbury Dr, Woodbury, MN 55129).

My name is Saejin Yoo and I am Junho Yoo’s older sister. I am setting up this GoFundMe page for Junho and his road to recovery. Thank you in advance for reading.

On Monday night, November 13, 2023, Junho got into a terrible motorcycle accident. He suffered a severe brain injury and was rushed into the hospital for two critical brain surgeries. Junho is now in the ICU on a ventilator, hooked up to many machines, and kept heavily sedated. His doctors are saying that it is too soon to predict any outcomes and if (and when) he might wake up.

Junho is only 23 years old. He worked at a food shelter where he found much happiness serving those needed help. While Junho faced many road bumps throughout his life, he remained a kind-hearted person, caring friend to many, and loving son and brother.

Our family is praying for a miracle so that we can see Junho smile again. However, Junho’s team of doctors and nurses say that Junho will have a long road of recovery ahead of him. This includes follow-up surgeries, months of physical therapy, and an intensive process of rehabilitation.

On the behalf of Junho and our family, I am seeking support from the kindness of family, friends, and strangers to carry us through this difficult time. Any form of assistance through donations, prayers, or simply spreading word would be greatly appreciated.
