Last week, our Cosecha Coordinador Javi suffered a serious fall while heading to work. Javi is the family’s main breadwinner and the only person in their household who drives. He had emergency surgery – he will be unable to walk for at least two months, leaving his family without reliable income and without transportation. Javi and his family have been organizing with Cosecha since the driver’s license campaign; they have protested against ICE’s deportations, etc. He’s also a talented artist and painter who has painted many of our movement banners.

During this difficult time, Javi and his family urgently need help covering rent, transportation, groceries, medical visits, and basic living expenses. Any amount — big or small — will make a difference in helping them stay afloat while he heals.
