Jason is suffering after an AORTIC DISSECTION. 

This is when the artery from the heart TEARS APART and allows blood to leak out into the chest cavity. This usually causes DEATH, but Jason SURVIVED. 

His kidneys and stomach, however, were severely damaged as a result, and he is now unable to eat enough food to sustain a normal healthy weight. 

In short, he is WASTING AWAY. 

Mounting MEDICAL BILLS have gotten us into DEEP FINANCIAL DEBT, which has pushed us to the brink of bankruptcy. 

As his spouse, I have given myself over to become his FULL TIME CAREGIVER. 

Keeping a roof over his head is my immediate goal.
