Yesterday, the father of my children was in a serious accident. While dumping trash at work, he parked a forklift and engaged the emergency brake. As he stepped away to throw trash into a container, the forklift suddenly rolled and pinned him between the container and the machine.

He was trapped for nearly five minutes, spitting up blood from his mouth and nose before emergency responders arrived. He was rushed to the hospital by ambulance and diagnosed with a collapsed lung (now on a chest tube), multiple broken ribs, a fractured clavicle, two spinal fractures, and a broken pelvis and other injuries that still require some testing.

Today, October 21, 2025, he’s undergoing surgery for his pelvis. Fractures to his right clavicle, spinal fractures and faces a long, painful road to recovery. We were just notified that he will be needing a surgery on his clavicle. He’ll be out of work for an extended period, until he recovers and is able to go back to work. We’re asking for any help to cover essential living costs, bills, medical expenses, and support for our kids during this time.
