On Mon, April 28th, I was delivering a food order to a customer on the 3rd floor of an apartment. The stairway was painted dark green, with no windows, and one light at the top of the stairs. Additionally, the carpeting on the landing and stairs were black, and my boots were black. As I proceeded carefully down the stairs, the stairwell grew darker. At that point, I seemed to have missed the last stair and fell on my side, which resulted in a serious injury. Although I yelled for help, there was no response from the customer. Fortunately, I was able to retrieve my phone and call for an ambulance. After waiting 20 minutes in excruciating pain, the EMTs arrived and were able to get me into the ambulance. After 10 hours of waiting for X-rays and scans, it was determined that my femur was broken, and surgery was performed, placing a rod and pins in my leg.

GH was my main source of income, and this recovery period will be devastating, creating a huge financial challenge for at least the next 30 to 60 days.
