Support for Dan Lyle's Medical Journey
Donation protected
We are reaching out to you in a time of desperate need as our Dad, Dan Lyle, faces a critical medical emergency. This news came as a complete shock to our family. Our beloved Dad, who is the sole provider for our Mom and autistic sister, and the glue to our family, has been diagnosed with terminal small cell lung cancer and is unable to work as we navigate the next steps and chemotherapy treatments.
UPDATE: We recently received the difficult news that the cancer has returned. After further testing, we also learned that it has spread to his bones. This has been incredibly hard for all of us to process. In response, Dad has started another round of chemotherapy in hopes of slowing the progression and managing the symptoms. We're taking things one day at a time and doing our best to stay strong and support him through this next phase of treatment.
We are deeply grateful for the donations we have received so far. Your generosity has provided our family with a comfortable bed for our Dad as he battles this cancer, a new home closer to family for better care and support, moving expenses, and assistance with living expenses.
However, we are still striving to reach our goal of $25,000 to cover ongoing living expenses and medical bills. Your continued support means the world to us during this challenging time. With Dad unable to work, the family is doing everything we can to manage these costs, but we need your help as we explore other income options.
As a husband, father to six, and a grandpa to five (soon to be six August 1st), he has always put our needs above his own, embodying selflessness in every way. He is a dedicated family man who has always been there for us in times of need. Dad's sense of humor has the unique ability to make us laugh, even in the toughest of times. Life hasn't been easy, but it has always been fun!
Now it's our turn to support him. This situation has been incredibly tough on our family, and we are doing everything we can to support him, and we realize we need help.
We are reaching out to you, our friends, family, and community to help us give back to the man who has given us so much. Any contribution, big or small, will make a significant difference and is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to contribute, sharing his story is just as much appreciated.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity during this difficult time.
