I never imagined I would be writing this.
The man I love, Craig Anderson, is getting sicker every day, and I feel helpless watching it happen. He wakes up exhausted. He pushes through pain, brain fog, and constant headaches. He has lost weight, strength, and the spark that once made him so full of life. What hurts most is knowing he would never complain—he keeps going, even as his body is failing him.
After months of fear and unanswered questions, we finally learned the truth. Craig’s body is fighting a serious, widespread dental infection that is affecting his entire health. His doctors have told us that without urgent, extensive dental reconstruction—multiple surgeries, extractions, bone grafting, and finally new teeth—his condition will continue to worsen. With treatment, there is real hope he can heal.
The cruel reality is that this care is considered out-of-pocket. And worse at the 11th hour before time’s up. The cost ranges from $49,500 to $69,500, not including travel and time he cannot work. We have no insurance. Craig works with his hands, and as his health fades, so does his ability to earn a living. I am terrified—not just for his health, but of losing everything we have built together.
Craig is a lifelong resident of McGregor, Minnesota. He is a builder, a giver, a proud man who has always helped others without hesitation. Asking for help is the hardest thing for him to do, and he was very reluctant for me to do this for him. But I feel we are out of options.
I am asking from the deepest place in my heart. If you can donate or share Craig’s story with those who may be able to help, you will be giving him a chance to feel strong again—to work, to laugh, and to live without constant pain and fatigue. Time truly matters right now. Every kindness, every prayer, every share means more than I can ever express.
Thank you for seeing Craig. Thank you for caring when we need it most.
With hope and gratitude,
Lisa K
