Urgent Support for Caleb: Battling Septic Shock

Dear Friends and Community,

We come to you with a heartfelt plea for support in a time of dire need. Caleb Petitt, our brave 15-year-old son, is fighting a critical battle against septic shock, a life-threatening condition that occurred after his appendix burst sometime in the last week unbeknownst to us, leading to a widespread infection.

Caleb's condition is extremely serious. He has been intubated and sedated, relying on life-support machines for the functioning of his organs. The medical team is working tirelessly to stabilize his dangerously low blood pressure.

Despite the severity of his condition, Caleb has never once complained about his health challenges. It's heart-wrenching to see him awaken intermittently, struggling to comprehend his situation, unable to speak or move. Then tears just roll down his temples from frustration.

We are profoundly grateful for the prayers, meals, and support already provided the past 48 hours by our friends, family, and church community. The medical staff at Children's Memorial Hermann have been exceptional in their care and communication.

Now, we humbly ask for your financial support if willing and able. The costs associated with Caleb's care are mounting in Pediatric ICU, and we need your help to ensure he continues to receive the best possible treatment.
