Urgent Support for Alita's Emergency Care

This is my child Alita. She is 4 years old, just turned April 10th, and my name is Heather, I’m her momma! I am 33 years old with my own medical conditions that leave me unable to have kids. Hence why I call her, My Child.

Alita and her brother Bean are all I have in this world. They are my world.

My adult life has been caring for as many dogs as I can, finding them good homes, getting them off the street, and rescuing when I can! It’s a passion of mine, to do as much as I can for these animals, even though I do not have much money to do so. I TRY and take care and do as much as I can!

I rescued Alita when she was 6 months old, from aweful people who kept her in a cage 4 sizes too small. She was skin and bones stuck in a small cage, sitting in her own piss and shit. That sight broke me. I vowed that day to give her the BESTEST LIFE I could possibly offer her. And I have! She’s now this 85 pound love bug who will run up to you and lick your face, and demand all the booty scratching! She’s had such a shitty start at life, and now it’s coming back around.

I left work Thursday 8/22 to rush home and bring Alita to the emergency vet because of the way she was acting. Shivering and shaking, drooling. No food for 3 days, not even for her favorite bones or chicken! Couldn’t get up, wobbles when she would have the energy to go outside to pee and kept producing black (#2).

As of now she has a serious tract infection, temp of 104.3 and headed for internal and external ultrasound because her symptoms don’t match the tract infection. I’m at 2,000$ without real answers, until now. She needs to be hospitalized and emergency surgery in the next 24 hours to remove her uterus.

I never had the chance to get her fixed due to COVID, the back log of procedures and each time her appointment would come up, she’d be in heat again.

now her period is killing her. Causing major infections, unable to eat, uncontrollably shaking and constantly throwing up bile.

Ive never in my life had to ask for anything, let alone financial support…… until now. I am at begging status. I need help. I’ve spent my savings recently on doctors appointments and medications for myself over the last month (that was $3450 out of pocket) because of the “new health insurance “ my work placed picked up……. and now my baby needs help! Anything helps. Absolutely anything. I’m not saying I can pay everyone back, but I will keep everyone updated on her progress.

I can’t not imagine a world with out her just yet! I still have years to spend with her! Please help me pay for any of these surgeries she may need coming up.

if she truly does not need the follow up surgeries , I won’t even take the money. I’ll tell go fund me to return it if my baby pulls through.

and yes I am writing this while sitting in the emergency room for the second time here in west Springfield Vets. 1145, got home at 8pm and had to come right back at 930 because she got worse!!!

I just lost my apartment 4 months ago. Please show this girl some love. She lost her home too and now she’s terrified because she can’t understand what’s happening… please
