Urgent: Stop My Imminent Homelessness

Hi, my name is Holland, and I’m asking for your help to avoid becoming completely homeless.

I’m currently employed full-time and doing everything I can to stay afloat. But due to a string of difficult events—car trouble, housing instability, and now the breakdown of my final place to stay—I’m facing life on the streets in just a few days.

Why I need help

Right now, I’m living on my mom’s boat, but it has developed a serious leak and must be taken out of the water for repairs on June 2nd. Once that happens, I’ll have nowhere to go.

My goal is to raise enough funds to:

• Stay in a hotel temporarily until the boat is repaired OR

• Put a down payment on a used travel van or minivan I can live in full time.

How I Got Here (Brief Timeline):

1. My car became irreparable in summer 2024; I sold it for $1,000.

2. I quit my job of 7 years as a pizza delivery driver to pursue a business and escape burnout, but shortly after, both roommates moved out at once.

3. I couldn’t afford to move or sign a new lease alone with no vehicle or income.

4. I moved onto my mom’s boat, which worked until the current leak forced its removal.

5. I’m now working again, but I don’t have the time or savings to secure safe housing before June 2nd.

Why I Can’t Just Sign a Lease:

• I have no recent rental history or local connections.

• My current job is still too new for landlords.

• Even shared rentals require deposits and transportation, which I currently lack.
