For the past two weeks, Miranda's sweet little dachshund Zuko has spent his nights crying in pain. Constantly changing his sleeping position in hopes of more comfort. Unfortunately, the true cause is not a simple fix. After a few trips to the emergency vet and an MRI scan later, it's been confirmed that little Zuko has two crushed spinal disks and is in desperate need of intensive treatment. 

The emergency vet bills, along with the MRI, the overnight stay and medication has so far cost Miranda a total of $6,594.54.


Zuko's next hope is for a spinal surgery on one of the two damaged disks, and if left untreated will leave him paralyzed. The second surgery will relieve him of his pain. Below is the estimate of the cost of the first surgery, one that will need to be booked in twenty days.


As a friend of Miranda's I would like to invite everyone to help us reach our goal of covering the first surgery for Zuko. I'm not asking you to give much, just anything you are willing to give.
