UPDATE: I am having pain and burning in my tumor area that moves up to my clavical. It is concerning as it could be the tumor infiltrating my nerves. Thank you to all who read my story and share and donate! You all are amazing!

I have been diagnosed with an aggressive subtype of basal cell carcinoma, its a form of skin cancer. Its the second one in my lifetime so far. The biopsy was done back in Dec of 2024. Life was lifing for me and I was not able to get treatment done till now . I had Basal Cell Carcinoma years ago on my arm and it was surgically removed right away. This latest one is on my chest right below my right clavical. I found a wonderful dermatologist who not only does surgical removal but gives the option for in my case a treatment called EBT. "Electronic brachytherapy" it is a form of radiation therapy that uses a miniature portable xray source to deliver targeted radiation to cancerous tissue, minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue. Surgery for me is not an option for two reasons. One I would need someone to stay with me to help me because of where the basal cell carcinoma site is located. It would not be easy for me to get that kind of help daily for weeks. No lifting, no bending, no reaching, no driving for weeks. Also i am highly allergic to adhesive. I break out in blisters from paper tape and bandaids, no matter what type. I also heal slower than normal people as I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrom (diganosed two years ago)
Surgery would be paid for partially by my health insurance, but as I said that is not an option for me. I belive EBT treatment is best, however it is not covered by health insurance. It is 2x a week for 10 weeks in office. The cost of treatment and everything needed for my care during that time frame is a hardship. The part that is hard for me is that we are still living with friends trying to get on our feet since hurricane Ian. It was in 2022. During my treatment period I will not be able to work.
Anything is greatly appreciated and If you can not donate, if you could please share this with your family and friends ! I was told because I waited so long for treatment that I need it started no later than 3 weeks from 7/28/2025. I appreciate you all!
The pics i added one is from a compression bandage only on two days in ICU 2023. The other is my biopsy from the basal cell and it has healing blisters around it from the bandage, that was Dec 2024.
