Hi everyone, I'm Lilia and my dear friend Sara and her family are going through an incredibly difficult time. Sara is originally from the south of Lebanon but has been living in Beirut for several years with her husband and their 11-year-old son, in a neighborhood that was already bombed during the 2024 war and is still not considered safe. During that war, she herself had to leave her home. Now, in March 2026, with the current Israeli aggression, many members of her family in the south have again been forced to flee their homes.

Among those displaced is her elderly and sick grandmother. Sara’s aunts, who are both widows and currently fighting cancer, had to leave their homes with their children. Many members of her father’s family fled with almost nothing. Some are now staying in schools, others with relatives, and some are still searching for any safe place where they can stay.

Sara is currently staying with her sister and family in a safer area, together with her husband and son. Many relatives have gathered in a small apartment because they have nowhere else to go. The situation is very crowded and difficult.

Across the country, 100,000 people have been forcibly displaced and are looking for shelter and safety, which makes finding housing extremely difficult. Many places are already full, and the few available options are often very expensive.

I am organizing this fundraiser to support Sara, her family, and her relatives who have been displaced and are in urgent need of help. The funds will go toward basic necessities such as shelter, food, medicine, and daily living expenses during this very challenging time.
