Here is my daughter's cat Nala...so back in April/may we noticed she had a broken tooth bottom left canine...took her to the vets and she ended up having to have it taken out (they didn't remove the full canine) said with her being 11 it could snap her jaw and cause much more damage but they had taken as much as possible and that it should be all good..that was the vets words!! Within a couple weeks Nala started sneezing and her nasal started to swell I got her back in the vets and they said probably had imflammation and prescribed a mucus medication to break it up ..couple weeks passed she was sneezing mucus and blood and eyes was watering ..back to the vets I went ..they said it was looking like an infection so give antibiotics..few weeks passed and it was slowly going down the swelling (so happy) few more weeks and it was back up just awful...got a second opinion from a vet group and few people mentioned that the tooth removal will have caused it and explained alot of detail and that the root should not have been left in!! Back to the vets I went was given more antibiotics and offered a scan to which I just couldn't afford as I've spend almost £800 so far!! They also said where they removed the canine it could not have caused it and that it was healing great....Nothing was working...my amazing friend wrote a big email complaining to the vets and asked could Nala have a scan and pay monthly they refused and told me it was looking like a tumor!!!! Even without a scan!!! She's had 4 lots of antibiotics altogether ...she's had the mucus medication and also paid for a steroid injection which made her vomit and diareah everywhere this was the final straw about 5 weeks ago she has had antibiotics again since. The swelling was looking like it was almost gone we had our Nala back taliahs heart was full again but unfortunately it's come back with revenge it's swelled more than ever she's still eating as much as she can she does sleep peacefully but still sneezing alot and makes funny breathing noises on and off...I don't just want to put her to sleep because what if it's NOT a tumor!!!???? the fact it's been up and down for months she's put weight on and lost weight? I don't understand she's taliahs best friend of 11 years she as always been soooo healthy never a problem!! Why do vets have to be so expensive it's not fair I just don't know what to do?? So this is why I've decided to try a go fund me for her to see if we can get Nala the scan she needs. She's an absolutely beautiful cat and before this you wouldn't even think she was 11 years old! She has so much life in her. Who ever chooses to help me I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart and will be forever greatful ❤️
