Urgent: Save Buddy From Raisin Poisoning
Donation protected
Hi all. My dog Buddy, who turns 3 on Saturday (7/12), managed to get a half full bag of trail mix off the table while I was at work today (7/9) and ate a lot of raisins. I took him to Med Vet, who was able to induce vomiting and get up 16 raisins, but they said vomiting only retrieves about 60% of the stomach contents, so there’s a possibility a lot more raisins are still in his gut that couldn’t be retrieved. Buddy is a small dog, only about 20 lbs, so the amount of raisins he ingested is toxic and could be fatal. I unfortunately wasn’t able to qualify for care credit because I just obtained my max care credit for a dental emergency a few weeks ago. I can’t afford to hospitalize him so I have to take him home and take him to a vet two more times for follow up, and may have to bring him back to Med Vet if he starts showing signs of kidney failure. He is my best friend and I don’t know how I would cope without him. Any little bit helps me, this couldn’t have happened at a worse time. I appreciate any and all support.
