My name is Fareez Abrahim, and I have created this campaign on behalf of my dear friend Muhammad Ali Al-Hitari and his wife Hanan, who is facing every parent's worst nightmare. His only son, Waleed, a sweet and innocent 5-year-old, has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL)—a life-threatening form of blood cancer. Below is a message from Waleed's mother Hanan:

A Mother’s Cry: Please Help Me Save My Only Son

My name is Hanan. I never imagined I would be here—begging strangers to help me save my little boy.

My son Waleed is just 5 years old. He is my only child… my heart, my whole world. He used to run around our home laughing, asking for cookies and chocolate. Now he lies in a hospital bed, weak, pale, and in pain… fighting for his life.

Waleed has leukemia. This cruel disease has taken his strength, his hair, and his smile—but not his soul. He still looks at me with love, even when he’s hurting.

He’s already been through several rounds of chemotherapy. And the doctors say he needs at least two more years of treatment—two more years of pain, needles, and endless medical costs.

We are from Yemen, where there is war, hunger, and a broken healthcare system. Our hospitals are overcrowded. Medicines are hard to find. We have sold everything. We have nothing left.

I am just a mother, crying out to the world.

I’m begging you… please. Don’t scroll past. Don’t turn away.

Please help me save my child.
