Hi, my name is Pamela Michelle Boyte. I am living on a fixed income and having a lot of trouble making ends meet. I am unable to work because of my breathing, as I get short of breath very easily. It is almost impossible for me to afford food and my medicines (mostly for Crohn's disease, no narcotics). My son and I have been mostly staying in my bedroom, as it is the only room we have with heat.

A few days ago, the freezing weather caused a tree to freeze and break, falling directly onto my house. Now my kitchen and living room are open to the elements, other than a sheet I have hanging. So basically, my bedroom is the only room not exposed to the elements now. My car is broken down, and I have been living with black mold in my house for the last few years. I have to go to the hospital often due to my breathing and frequent respiratory attacks, and I was hospitalized just a couple of weeks ago for several days because I passed out due to being unable to breathe. I do not smoke. The doctors say that it is unsafe for me to live with all of this black mold, but I have no other options.

Now I am really desperate because of the damage to my house, and I'm afraid we are going to freeze to death. If there is any way I could, somehow, get a small space built for me and my son to live in, that would be wonderful, and maybe I wouldn't be so sick all the time. I'm so tired of being sick. It doesn't have to be fancy, just something safe that we can breathe in and be warm. God bless you all. I am grateful for anything. Thank you from the depths of my heart.
