Urgent Roof Replacement Needed for David's Home

**Update... I have secured a loan to pay for the total repayment. it was worse than i thought. Life likes to throw curve balls at you. I appreciate all who have given from their hearts. Thank you so very much.

Hi, my name is David. I'm 63 years old. Since my late wife passed away suddenly in February of 2023, life has been a series of setbacks for me financially.

Just before she passed away, we were forced to wipe out our savings to replace the heat pump on our home. When she passed away, she was not fully vested with her life insurance policy, so I was left to pay for the funeral expenses. A month later, the engine in her car blew, and I struggled to replace that.

In 2024, I was beginning to believe things were settling down, then discovered the floor in my bathroom had rotted out due to a poor wax seal on my toilet. So, I had to struggle to pay someone to replace that for me. By the middle of 2025, the fuel injectors went bad in my Mustang, and that forced me to start driving my gas hog truck to work.

By December 2025, I was finally getting a little bit ahead. The only debts I had left were on high-interest credit cards, so I took out a $4k loan from my bank to get a manageable payment and paid off the cards. Then, a week later, the transmission went out in my truck. My cheapest option was simply buying another good running used car, something I could pay off rather quickly. The new car payment, along with my other bills, has me barely living paycheck to paycheck once again.

In the beginning of February 2026, we had a few heavy storms, and now I've noticed water spots on my ceilings. I had a roofing contractor come out and inspect it. He recommended complete replacement and gave me a quote of $7500. Because of my financial situation, my bank wouldn't grant me the loan and I am out of options, but I can't let my home be ruined and made unlivable, and frankly have nowhere else to reach out for help.

I'm fundraising to replace my roof, which is crucial to keep my home livable. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
