Urgent! Rescue Dog King Needs Bladder Stone Removal Surgery

Donation protected
Please help save King! He was rescued once and needs your help to be saved again. My friend Julie, who runs the rescue, Cats of Magdalena in Manila, has saved countless animals with 33 cats currently under her care. Now the rescuer needs a rescue to save her dog with surgery (Cystotomy) to remove bladder stones that were unsuccessfully treated.

From Julie:
I first saw King abandoned on the streets on October 13, 2019. At that time, he looked like he could die at any moment. He was skinny, malnourished, and covered in fleas with signs of being abused by a previous owner. I decided to rescue him. I told myself that even if he didn’t make it, at least he would spend his final days in a home where he was safe and loved.

I brought him to the vet, gave him the medications he needed, provided plenty of food, and most importantly, lots of love. Slowly but surely, King recovered. He grew bigger, healthier, and happier. He is about 10 years old now. But I noticed that he started losing his appetite, and I knew something was wrong in late 2025.

12.13.2025
I was able to bring him to the vet where he was diagnosed with pancreatitis and urinary bladder stones. He had to stay confined at the clinic for almost a week. Thankfully, the pancreatitis was resolved. He was prescribed medications to help dissolve the bladder stones.

12.18.2025
I brought him back to the vet for another blood test and X-ray. His blood test results were good, but the X-ray still showed bladder stones. He was again prescribed another round of medication to try to dissolve them.

02.13.2026
I brought him to the vet for the third time. Unfortunately, the X-ray still showed the bladder stones. At this point, the only way to help him is through surgery to remove them.

I have been giving him supplements to help prepare him for the procedure, and I believe he is now ready for surgery.

The estimated cost is $550, which includes blood tests, medical boarding, Cystotomy (stone removal surgery), and stone analysis.

We are humbly asking for your help to save King. Any amount you can share will go a long way toward covering his medical expenses. After everything he has been through, King deserves the chance to live a healthier, longer, and happier life. All vet paperwork and receipts will be posted here as updates. Thank you very much for your kindness and support.
