Urgent Request for Justice and Shelter
IMy name is Qurat-ul-Ain, and I am writing to you with a heavy heart, seeking your kind attention and assistance during an extremely difficult time in our lives.
I live with my elderly and chronically ill father, Mr. Muhammad Imtiaz Rasool, and my younger sister. My father is approximately 62 years old and is a retired government employee. He is suffering from severe joint tuberculosis, which has rendered him disabled and fully dependent on others for care.
Several years ago, my father entered into a property deal with his nephew. He paid him several lakhs of rupees to purchase a house. This agreement was made in the presence of family elders and finalized through a traditional jirga, with both my grandfather and grandmother as witnesses. As per the agreement, the house registry was to be completed within two to three months.
However, before this could happen, my father suffered a stroke and became bedridden. Meanwhile, his nephew left for Dubai. In 2019, after the passing of my grandfather, when my father requested the registry upon the nephew’s return, he denied the agreement and refused to transfer ownership. Despite our persistent efforts, he never fulfilled his obligation.
Eventually, that same house was unlawfully sold by my cousin to another party. These new occupants forcibly entered the property, physically assaulted us, threw out our belongings, and threatened us with weapons. My disabled father, my sister, and I were subjected to violence and abuse. To this day, we continue to face threats and harassment from these individuals.
We have been fighting this matter in court for several years, but unfortunately, justice has yet to be served. The legal process is slow, and the financial burden is growing. During this prolonged struggle, I lost my mother, followed by my grandmother. The trauma and grief have only deepened our suffering.
Despite these setbacks, I worked tirelessly in a private company, saving whatever little I could through community saving committees. Eventually, I managed to purchase a small two-marla plot of land. However, I recently lost my job, and with my father’s limited pension, we are barely managing to survive—let alone afford the construction of a basic shelter.
To add to our hardship, my younger sister passed away, leaving behind two small children. Their father has refused to take responsibility, and we are now solely responsible for their care and upbringing.
We are at a breaking point. The only hope we have is to somehow raise enough funds to construct a small shelter on our plot so we can live with dignity and some sense of security. Without help, we fear that we may be left homeless.
Therefore, I humbly request your kind support—whether legal, financial, or otherwise—to help us reclaim our rights and rebuild our lives. Any assistance will be deeply appreciated and remembered with immense gratitude.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. May you be rewarded for your compassion and kindness.
Sincerely,
Qurat-ul-Ain

I’m currently raising funds to support a family in urgent need. Any contribution, no matter how small—even £5—would be deeply appreciated and can make a real difference in their lives. Thank you for your kindness and support…
