I’m writing with a broken heart and a desperate plea for help. Two days ago, my beloved dogs Coco and Burrito were brutally attacked by several other dogs, leaving them with severe injuries. They have multiple bite wounds and Coco has suffered a broken jaw, which requires immediate surgery to prevent infection and further complications. Without treatment, he could face lifelong issues with eating, drinking, and his overall health. I am deeply worried, but the surgery required to save him is beyond my financial means.

This comes at a time when I’m already dealing with significant challenges. I recently escaped a difficult situation, and as I rebuild my life, I find myself overwhelmed. I have six dogs who need care and attention, and despite my best efforts, I am struggling to manage the financial burden on my own. Now, with one dog in critical condition, I’m facing an impossible situation.

To make matters worse, one of my other dogs, my sweet French Bulldog, Burrito, was also injured in the attack. He had been receiving treatment for a cancerous lump, and now he’s having frequent seizures, one of which was so severe, I feared I was going to lose him. Watching both of my OG dogs suffer in such a short amount of time has been heartbreaking and traumatizing, and I feel powerless to help them.

I’ve always strived to provide a safe and loving home for my pets, but right now, I need your support more than ever. The costs for their surgeries, emergency vet bills, and ongoing care are more than I can manage alone, and I fear I may lose them if I can’t provide the medical treatment they need. I have the support of Guayabo Animal Rescue here in Costa Rica, and they are doing what they can within their means; but these bills are outside their means as well. Any outstanding money from donations, If any, will go toward their incredible refuge.

Emergency Spay for Panda- we weren’t able to fix her before her heat due to liver inflammation, but her heat is bringing too many problems to all dogs and is a big reason for the dog fights and drama within my pack and the neighbourhood dogs. She needs to be spayed now, being a high risk procedure she needs to do it with a specialist in San Jose (same transport as burrito so no extra cost there).
