My name is Tanya, and I am reaching out to the public help rebuild hope in my hometown Trelawny that was hit by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica.

Even though I live in the UK, Jamaica will always be my home. Falmouth is where my roots run deep, where my childhood memories live, and where my family and friends remain with having strong ties to my country . As a fellow trelawnyian, Jamaica will be my forever home and I want to be able to offer the assistance and be on the ground to help.

Now, more than ever,the community needs support, unity, and hope to rise again with also assisting inner communities within trelawny that's not getting a look in with aids to survive

October 28th 2025, we’ve all seen the devastating images — homes reduced to rubble, belongings swept away, and families left with nothing but the clothes they were wearing. Many have lost not just their shelter, but their only source of income.

It’s heartbreaking to see the place I love so much deeply suffering like this. But in the middle of the pain, I’m reminded of something powerful — the resilience and unity of ALL.

We’ve always found strength in each other. When things get hard, we come together, lift each other up, and rebuild from the ground. That’s what this fundraiser is about — coming together to bring hope back to Trelawny.

Rebuilding Homes — Helping 2–3 families repair or rebuild the homes they lost.
